Saturday Day Care Carnival

Today the boys went to the carnival their day care center put together. To raise money and awareness for earth day the kids all made games out of recyclable items for everyone to play and there was a bounce house, music, face painting and plenty or fun things to do.  The boys were also excited to spend the morning with all of their friends on a Saturday.  After a few hours of fun and running around two very tired boys went out for lunch to finish off their day.

Dylan wanted to be Spiderman AND a dog

Game Day

Last night the Rock Hounds played their first t-ball game against the Grasshoppers.  I wasn't sure how 4 and 5 year old T-ball was going to work after only 2 practices but basically one team bats, the entire other team fields (they didn't have a full team on either side) and no one is actually 'out'.  That wasn't really an issue since I don't think anyone actually made an out. Once every kid bats the teams switch and they do that 3 times. I had concerns that a 'real' t-ball game would take 7 hours :-)  Andrew had a great time and is already looking forward to his game on Monday.

"Official" line-up card!
Batting Leadoff for the RockHounds
Racing down to 1st base!

Cheering on his team
Warming up and ready to take the field!

And then a little post game pizza!

First T-ball Practice

The initial review on T-ball after one practice is "That was more fun than soccer"... certainly a step in the right direction.  Obviously all of the players are on the small side and I was taking pictures from behind them.. Andrew is light grey long sleeve t-shirt, blue hat ;-)

After awkward attempts to bat right handed...

It looks like we MIGHT have a 'throws right, bats left'

One more practice tomorrow night and then first game versus the Grasshoppers on Friday!

Weekend in review

This weekend we FINALLY said good bye to winter and had two amazing days to spend outside.  The boys got to go to the park, run around the yard, play baseball AND spend time with Gaga and Grampa.  It also included opening day for t-ball!

Spring at the zoo

We didn't waste a minute of this amazing weekend.  Today we headed to the zoo!

First stop was the Children's zoo to feed the animals.

And then a ride on the merry go round.

Before a day looking at all the animals.

How was your weekend?
