A VERY busy Memorial Day weekend!

On Friday morning Andrew packed up and headed off to DC to visit Auntie Meg and Uncle Matt. He spent the weekend visiting parks and monuments and seeing a baseball game. On Sunday night we headed home and the fun continued Monday with a trip to Memorial park, the Newton memorial day parade and then a fun afternoon in the yard. Andrew was exhausted but he had a great time and can't wait to see Auntie Meg and Uncle Matt again soon...and his new buddy Baxter of course.

Although the weekend weather has been a big disappointment after a BEAUTIFUL week it didn't stop Andrew and his friends Ethan and Brandon from getting in some play time.

New outside toys

Andrew's new swing set is almost done (thanks to the hard work of Daddy, Evan and Kim on Saturday!) and his sandbox finally has sand! Although he is still supposed to be resting after his surgery we took a little time this afternoon to explore the new stuff and get in a little playtime. He's still not sure about getting IN the sandbox but he had lots of fun with the toys that were  in it. It is going to be a really fun summer :-)

Eventually we might be able to get him IN the sandbox :-)
