12 Month Check-up

Andrew had his 12 month doctors appointment this afternoon.  He has worked his way up to the 20th percentile.  He is weighing in at 20 lbs 8.5 oz and is 29 inches long.

He's come a long way from the 6 lbs 4oz and 19.5 inches he started at!

The big news is that he made it to the 20lb mark so we can turn the carseat around and HOPEFULLY end the resistance to riding in the car!

Birthday Weekend

As it turns out a 1st birthday is quite a drawn out affair.. and I feel like Andrew's hasn't even begun with THREE parties planned for him in the coming weeks. This weekend however was his 'official' birthday weekend and his grandparents came down to celebrate.  Here are some pictures of cupcakes, presents and birthday stories. He got lots of presents considering his party is NEXT week and wanted to thank everyone!!

Today is the big day!  Andrew is officially 1 (well I guess technically he will be officially 1 at 7:38 PM this evening but it's close enough).  Mornings are a little hectic but I attempted to get a few shots of him in his "Birthday Boy" t-shirt before he left for day care.  Andrew is known for returning from school in different clothes than he left the house in :-)  He was clearly VERY excited about his birthday and it was impossible to get a good shot of him not moving around.  In the end I resorted to strapping him in his high chair which worked OK although he did try to escape a few times.  I'm sure there will be plenty of pictures from Birthday Weekend but here are a few of the start of Year 2!

The end of year one...

Also known as 'Birthday Eve'.  We spent the night getting ready for Grandma and Grandpa's visit tomorrow and Andrew and Max were good enough to entertain eachother while we got things done.

One of these days these two are going to figure out how to get through the gates....

Swings

Yesterday felt like a beautiful summer day so Andrew and I headed to the park while Daddy was hard at work back at the house.  Andrew still loves to swing!

Andrew enjoyed the first football weekend of the season.  He found it particularly enjoyable to watch the Patriots destroy the Bengals.
