16 MONTHS OLD!

It is never easy to do a before school photo shoot but since I won't be home tonight we had to get Dylan's 16 month pictures before he left today. Since it is water play day at school these are a combination of pajamas and his bathing suit.  Not to be forgotten there is also the monthly "take pictures of me and Dylan!!" shots of both boys.

More 4th of July fun

Just some more pictures of our fun 4th of July long weekend... Thursday was Sesame Street, Friday we spent hanging out in the yard and then at Andrew's first swimming lesson.  On Saturday Andrew and Mike went to see Monster's University while Dylan and I went to hang out with Christine and Nicole and then Sunday we got out the water table and the pool to keep cool during another very hot summer day. Monday night was Andrew's second swimming lesson and he is already getting much better!

Sesame 4th of July

Yesterday we decided to try out sesame place for the 4th of July. Despite the crowds we had a fun day at the water park, taking pictures with the characters and going on all the rides. We finished the day with some ice cream, the parade ans fireworks!

Wine and Wings

Today we spent the afternoon at the Cava Winery for 'Wine and Wings' with some friends. 

Ice Skating

Last weekend Andrew went to his first ice skating party. I for one was VERY excited to take him skating for the first time. I got my skates sharpened, we collected our gloves and his helmet and headed to the rink. Andrew was all excited while we were getting his skates on and he was walking around just fine...

 and THEN we got on the ice...

Dylan on the other hand was dying to get out on the ice... we'll have to get him a helmet that fits before next time!

New Car!

On Thursday we traded in the old Escape and Mariner...

And picked up our shiny new explorer!

Backyard Camping!

On Saturday night Andrew and some of his friends set up their tents (with a lot of help from the moms and dads) and got ready for backyard camping. They ate their snacks and dinner at picnic tables, cooked their hotdogs and s'mores over the fire and then slept in their tents. Thanks to a very long extension cord they watched Nemo while enjoying their s'mores before heading off to bed. The next morning they had breakfast on the deck and then broke down the campsite.  I think everyone had enough fun to try this again soon :-)
